Wayne Miyamoto: A Decade of Prints and Works on Paper

The works of Wayne Miyamoto often combine the printmaking techniques of intaglio and monoprint with drawing, painting, collage and most recently digital imagery. The resulting series of “figurative” works explore the infinite quality of line and its ability to express energy and motion. Of the work process Miyamoto comments, The images explore relationships of anthropomorphic, botanical, zoological, mythological, and geological references. Time and change lay the groundwork for the visual image. In this exhibition Miyamoto will exhibit recent works including for the first time his 88 Kami (for Osamu), series of 88 drawings and mixed media works.
